Big Hole

"Across the Street" (Aug. 30, 2015)

The house across the street disappeared.
Now there's a big hole in the ground.
No signs of a fire.
No debris left behind.
No one really knows what happened.
The house just disappeared.
The old couple who lived there are still around.
They're just flustered.
They went to bed last night and woke up naked in the big hole this morning.
House must of walked off while they were asleep and taken their clothes with it.
Fortunately the city mayor is letting the old couple sleep on one of the couches in the town hall
     until their house finally decides to come back home.
