Pay Attention
What
just happened?
I smelled
wet dew's coolness,
sweet dark coffee, and
air from a mile away blown Here by the wind
I heard
that wind
in the trees,
birds calling, and
a cacophony of insects
I saw
a bee float by
an expanse of green, and
sunlight extinguished by passing clouds
This has been such a good morning!
I'm so glad
I have been
paying attention
